Mesh Jerseys

Custom mesh jerseys and custom throwback jerseys built the retro way: an open airtex or bird-eye polyester mesh, a wide armhole basketball tank or a loose throwback football cut, and artwork sublimated straight into the knit so the holes stay open and the print stays cool. Retro basketball jerseys, custom retro football shirts, custom vintage baseball jerseys and old-school hockey jerseys all start from the same mesh blocks in this range; custom retro bowling shirts and vintage baseball uniforms with a mesh body need confirmation of production scope for each selected style.

Why does mesh give cheap prints away? A heat-pressed number sits on top of the holes, bridges them, and cracks the first time the fabric stretches. A sublimated mesh jersey has nothing on the surface: the dye is inside the yarn, so a 1990s block number, a striped collar or a full-color team crest keeps its edges after a season of washing. That is the difference between custom vintage jerseys that look vintage and ones that look worn out.

What can be ordered? Custom throwback jerseys for a club anniversary, a brand’s retro basketball jersey drop, a league’s mesh practice pinnies, reversible mesh jerseys for training, all from 5 pieces per design and color, printed panel first and then sewn. Names, numbers and sponsor marks are part of the artwork file, not a later add-on, and a reorder needs confirmation against the approved artwork, fabric and sample.

This range is being loaded with new styles; the current match-ready basketball, baseball and volleyball jerseys are in sport jersey, sleeveless mesh cuts are in tank tops, and the wider throwback collection is under retro streetwear. Mesh weights and knit codes are listed in the fabric lab; the design side of a reissue is covered in the retro football shirt design guide. Akilex has sublimated sportswear in Guangzhou since 2008 and inspects every run to AQL 2.5.
